So we are only two days out from the ride!!! We are really excited as it looks like we will have a good turn out. This is the map of the course outlining roughly were the ride will go. It would not let me highlight or use the Provo River Trail which we will be riding to Macey's and from Macey's to Reams. So the mileage is a little off and the directions are not 100%. Basically we will start at University and Center in Provo and then ride over to the Allens in south Provo from there we are going to Days Market on Canyon, then to Macey's in Provo, and then to Reams on Center, and ending at Trendz Cafe on Center. Looking forward to seeing all of you there.

Cranksgiving and all its awesomeness
This blog is set up to let everyone know what Cranksgiving is, how it works, and to capture all the fun/bike riding that will transpire. First a little history, Cranksgiving was started around 1999 in New York by some bike messengers that wanted to merge bike riding and helping people out at the holidays. Not having a lot of money they decided to come together to race their bikes all over the city and spend $10-$20 on food that would be donated to a local food bank. Now you can find Cranksgivings all over the country. The Provo Cranksgiving ride is more about fun then competition, we plan on riding in a group at a decent speed, we are not cruising but we also are not Tour de Francing (racing). All bikes are welcomed as well as all riders you will want to have a bike, a lock, and some way to carry what you buy at our stops, ie. backpack, basket, trailer, milk crate, whatever works for you. Our route this year will be about 9 miles and will end with hot chocolate and donuts, we will have a map up really soon, and maps at the event. Basically this is a celebration of bicycles and a chance to get into that holiday spirit, as well as to give something before all of us enjoy a hot meal with families and friends on Thanksgiving. We hope to get as many riders out as possible and will keep all updates posted here and to that thing called Facebook. Thanks for reading and we hope to see you and your bike on Wednesday morning. Until then may your tubes be full and your saddles soft.
